Marietta Marcin is an artist who deals with three dimensions, rather than two; motion and emotion, rather than strict graphic detail or mere scientific representation. Her work exhibits the spirit of the being it depicts, be it animal or human, and brings it to life with fluid power and dynamic energy. She has collectors from coast to coast who continue to appreciate the soul in her work, and while her art training has followed progressive as well as traditional movements, she tends to adhere to the old school of quality in technique and the wonder of something naturally beautiful. Although most of her professional career consists of commissioned projects, she is now branching out to create limited edition bronze castings. Continually fascinated by the power struggles in nature and the theory of "survival of the fittest", (as reflected in her subject matter) she is also fascinated by the crude and painstaking "Old World Process" involved to produce a lost-wax casting that is then chased and finished to become a lasting image permanently captured in pure, lustrous bronze.
